Tom Cruise has landed in Bari. The Hollywood star has arrived in Puglia possibly to shoot a new film: he was spotted at Bari Palese airport in his jet but details of his stay are still top secret.

The visit to Apulia by the U.S. actor, an icon of the action genre, was a bolt from the blue. He arrived on the night of February 26-27, from Los Angeles, precisely to shield himself from prying eyes. There is still no word on the title of the film he will shoot, specifically whether it will be action or another genre, nor on the locations where the set will be set. According to rumors, it could be Matera, where 007 – No time to die with Daniel Craig was already filmed.

He may have arrived in Bari for a location scouting for the film Mission Impossible 8, (release in 2024), of which he is also a producer, but there is maximum secrecy about the reason for Hollywood star Tom Cruise’s visit. He arrived at 1:30 a.m. at the capital’s airport on a private flight. Some scenes of the eighth chapter of the saga directed by Christopher McQuarrie will shoot in Puglia and Basilicata.

The actor may have chosen not only Puglia but also Basilicata. He might shoot some scenes from the air. Cruise would stay in the Albergo delle Nazioni in Bari with director McQuerrie, where cars and escort men are seen. But some suggestions also speak of Borgo Egnazia, in Brindisi, and that only the staff is staying in Bari. What is certain is that the out-of-town resort , these days, is closed and reopens March 16. And it seems that all this time Cruise is staying in Puglia. There is utmost secrecy about the details, however, although the presence is confirmed.

He is there but cannot be seen. His arrival was anticipated last weekend by staff inspections and a truckload of personal items, to set up the suite and the entire second floor. And armor part of the restaurant, accessible only to the star’s personal chefs.

Tom Cruise is based in Bari and will stay there for at least a week (maybe two). He will be busy shooting aerial and drone scenes for Mission Impossible 8: the actor, therefore, will be shuttling between Bari, Matera, Gravina and the Murgia area.

Tom Cruise leaves Bari this morning to come back to Los Angeles for the 95th Oscars.

He really leave Puglia, after filming some scenes of “Mission: Impossible 8” on an US aircraft carrier.

Confirming the rumors of the last few days, the actor lived up to expectations: at the end of this week he showed up again at the Bari airport, to the delight of those who were able to see his landing and takeoff. After all, not every day you have the chance to see an actor like Tom Cruise shooting, just a few kilometers from our shores, aerial scenes for “Mission: Impossible 8.” And that he chooses precisely the Apulian capital for his base of operations.
