Bridgerton Season 3 is all set to premiere on Netflix in May 2024. The baton has been passed to Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton. Fans cannot wait to see whether the duo will finally explore their romantic side. But before that, let’s look at how Season 1 lovers Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page ditched bad breaths and made the most of their sizzling chemistry.

For the unversed, Phoebe led Season 1 as Daphne Bridgerton and found her suitor in Rege-Jean, who played Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings. Their jaw-dropping intimate sequences increased the viewership by millions, but many rules were in place to ensure the actors had a good time in real life.

Yes, you heard that right. During an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Rege-Jean Page revealed, “You approach your other actor and go, ‘Hey, so the scenes after lunch, what are our rules? Are we no onions? Are we no garlic? Do I have to get the coffee in early?’ We both are like, ‘I actually really like coffee so I don’t mind.’”

While both Rege-Jean Page and Phoebe Dynevor easily avoided onion and garlic, they were both huge coffee lovers! The actor further shared, “What no one knows about Bridgerton (was that) Phoebe and I had horrendous coffee breath the whole way through.”

Well, whatever may have been the mid-way for Phoebe and Rege-Jean, all we can remember is their visually appealing portrayal as Daphne and Simon, and it was truly dreamy!

Phoebe Dynevor and Rege-Jean Page are not a part of Bridgerton Season 3
Viewers would know Rege-Jean had marked his exit from the show after Season 1. With the storyline focussing around the eldest Bridgerton son, Lord Anthony (Jonathan Bailey), there was little The Gray Man actor could contribute to the show.

Phoebe Dynevor left us heartbroken when she announced her exit from the historical fiction-romance series after Season 2. In an interview with Screenrant, she shared, “I’m sadly not in Season 3. Potentially in the future, but yeah, I’m just excited to watch Season 3 as a viewer.”

Bridgerton Season 3 will be released in two parts. Part 1 will premiere on Netflix on May 6, 2024, and Part 2 will be released on June 13, 2024.
