San Marino proudly celebrates a milestone in its cinematic journey with IMPRINTING, a short film directed by Andrea Ciavatta and distributed by Voce Spettacolo founded by Walter Nicoletti, member of Hollywood Creative Alliance, European Film Academy and International Press Academy Satellite Awards. The film has achieved remarkable international acclaim, winning awards at prestigious festivals such as the Hollywood Gold Awards, Paris Film Awards, London Movie Awards, New York Movie Awards, Florence Film Awards and Milan Gold Awards. This success has culminated in an Oscars qualification for the 2025 edition, marking a historic achievement for San Marino’s film industry.

IMPRINTING explores deep themes of memory, identity, and human connection, resonating with audiences worldwide. Its success on the festival circuit is a testament to the quality of Ciavatta’s direction and the film’s compelling narrative. The journey to the Oscars was significantly boosted by a special screening at Lumiere Cinema in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, where the film’s impact reached a new level. The Los Angeles screening in June not only underscored the film’s artistic merit but also paved the way for its qualification.

The production’s success is a testament to the dedication and talent of the entire team. The film was written by Andrea Ciavatta and Leo Barbato, with Barbato also serving as the director of photography. The cast includes Andrea Ciavatta, Enea Barbato, Chiara Ciavatta, Anastasiia Dombrovska, Aldo Ciavatta, Carlo Grotti Trevisan, Carla Cappelli, and Martina Maggiore. Other key contributors include Skatto for editing, Studio 256 for sound design, and Daniele Ramberti and Samuele Ramberti for scenography and visual effects. The original choreography was crafted by Giorgia Riccardi, with the score composed by M°Andrea Tosi.

The collaboration of this talented group brought Ciavatta’s vision to life, producing a film that meets the highest standards of cinematic excellence and reflects the team’s hard work and creative synergy.

Reflecting on this achievement, Director Andrea Ciavatta shared, “It is an immense joy and a humbling experience to see IMPRINTING resonate with audiences across the world and achieve this level of recognition in Hollywood. This journey has been marked by dedication, creativity, and an unwavering belief in the power of storytelling. Our goal was to craft a film that goes beyond entertainment, sparking reflection and emotions in the audience. I’m incredibly proud of our talented team, whose efforts and passion have truly brought the film to life. Qualifying for the Oscars not only validates our hard work but also shines a light on San Marino’s cultural potential. It is an honor to represent our country on such a prestigious stage, and we hope this success will inspire more local filmmakers to pursue their dreams.”

Voce Spettacolo, with a decade of experience in festival distribution, played a crucial role in positioning IMPRINTING for major awards recognition. The film’s qualification for the Oscars represents a key moment for the nation’s cultural heritage, showcasing San Marino’s potential to produce world-class cinematic works.
