While the Oscars are still months away, films have to start campaigning early. That’s especially true in categories like live action short film.
In accordance with Academy rules that every short movie eligible for an Academy Award must screen for at least one week in Los Angeles before the end of theatrical run wich will close on September 30, Red Market by Walter Nicoletti will play September 23-30 at the Lumiere Music Hall Theater in Beverly Hills in LA, one screening a day in the seat main theater for who were able to get tickets.

Red Market is the first short-movie in the history of cinema about international organ trafficking. It tells the story of Aurelio, a doctor, who decides to contact an international organ trafficking broker, in order to pay off debt caused by his gambling addiction. The cast: Gabriele Grano, Brunella Lamacchia, Franco Piccinni, Donato Cirella, Nestor Romero and Walter Nicoletti. Director Supervisor is David Cinnella, the costume designer is Caterina Tristano, the sound engineer is Davide Sergio, music composed by Walter Nicoletti. Production Manager is Vito Nicoletti.
Thanks to its week-long run “Red Market” can be nominated for an Oscar for best live action short, as it met qualification guidelines.

Nominations for next year’s 95th Academy Awards is set to be revealed on January 24, 2023 and the ceremony will be on March 12, 2023.
