Through the Young Producers programme, the Royal Albert Hall will present Sound Inna Di Hall, a sold-out evening of music, dance and art which celebrates and explores the legacy of Caribbean and sound system culture within the UK. This one-off event, which takes place in the Hall’s Elgar Room on Saturday 13 April, will feature the St Michael and the All Angels Steel Pan OrchestraDe Collective Music, the Party Time dancersDJ NateDJ Stutz and DJ Larni.

The lineup, which has been curated by the Young Producers, focusses on British artists with a Caribbean heritage that has influenced and impacted their careers. The event will also highlight the history and multi-encompassing genres of the sound system culture along with accompanying dance performances and an art installation which will be hosted by 19-year-old Shakks, an MC from Jamaica and Barbados.

St Michael and the All Angels Steel Pan Orchestra holds a prominent position in the global music scene. Renowned within London’s Black community, the orchestra has garnered acclaim for its versatility and cultural significance with a history of notable performances, including the Notting Hill Carnival. St Michael and the All Angels Steel Pan Orchestra, operating under St Michaels Youth Project, stands as a cultural and musical institution with a lasting impact.

De Collective Music are a freshly created band based in London that focus on the significance of reggae music by paying tribute to the genre’s rich history. With influences ranging from R&B to jazz, rock and gospel, the collective aims to inspire and showcase the enduring importance and influence of reggae music.

It’s extremely rewarding for us to be able to offer young and aspiring music professionals the opportunity and experience to curate, programme and organise an event from inception to completion in a venue such as the Elgar Room. Our hope is that this experience will inspire these individuals to continue their career journeys in the live sector as they are the industry’s next generation of talent.”

Renowned for his electrifying sets and DJ mixes playing the best dancehall music, DJ Swingz has been headlining venues and captivating audiences throughout the UK . His magnetic stage presence has cemented him as a trailblazer in the industry, both as a live DJ and in broadcast, where he provided the vision behind the radio brand ‘SetGoodTuesdays’.

Having built a reputation for himself with a portfolio and expertise which spans multiple genres and excelling in the realms of hip hop and R&B, DJ Stutz has had the opportunity to share the stage with renowned DJs and artists such as Tory Lanez, TionWayne, Abra Cadabra, and many others.

Drawing inspiration from his father’s legacy in the craft, DJ Larni began his journey into the world of DJing at the age of 14. Specialising in dancehall and reggae, Larni’s versatility extends seamlessly across genres, including soca, hip hop, house, R&B, Afrobeats and revival.
