The Hollywood Creative Alliance has announced today the 2024 Astra Midseason Movie Awards winners. All nominated films were released between January 1, 2024, and June 30, 2024.

Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two, which received seven nominations, took home three awards, including Best Picture, Best Director for Denis Villeneuve, and Best Supporting Actor for Austin Butler.

Amazon MGM Studios Challengers and A24’s Love Lies Bleeding tied for second place, receiving two wins each. Zendaya took home Best Actress, while Justin Kuritzkes won Best Screenplay. Rose Glass’ sophomore outing, Love Lies Bleeding, won Best Indie and Best Supporting Actress for Katy O’Brian.

Other notable wins include Netflix’s Hit Man star and co-writer Glen Powell taking home the prize for Best Actor, while 87North Production’s The Fall Guy took home this year’s Best Stunts award.

In the past, the HCA Midseason Movie Awards have predicted future Oscar nominees, including Everything Everywhere All At Once, Elvis, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, Past Lives, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and Top Gun: Maverick.
